The training of Mar Meks

Felucia.

A beautiful autum dawn. The sweltering jungle heat hadn't yet seeped in, and the cool, moist air filled the still environment. Enormous purple mushrooms the size of skyscrapers towered in the distance. What looked like stacks of bubbles swayed in the slight breeze that brushed through the jungle. Tall, tree-like fungal growths, as if asleep, sat still, but somehow seemed to reach for the canopy, as well as the soil. Gargantuan lily pads floated lazily on the swamp water that seemed to have a purplish cast to it.

A Felucian Jy'got bird broke the silence with it's crooning call- the reptilian avian then drifted from its den in a fungal 'tree' and slowly flew across the misty morning. A few bubbles drifted up sluggishly from the water- a Fll'urag'uga beast, most likely.

Fel'rol'oglor walked from the immense entrance of the New Jedi Temple- a giant fungal tower of massive proportions, shaped now with the Force, and with Yuuzhan Vong shaper means, to have a giant Temple Entrance, a grand hall, numerous training rooms, a cavernous starfighter bay, a giant hololibrary, and, at the very top, a Council Chamber. The Felucian Jedi Master strode out of the humongous entrance, and down the fungus and muchroom-strewn path. The silence of the transluscent jungle was... refreshing, to say the least.

The hulking Jedi Master was roughly seven and a half feet tall. His skin was mainly a deep, rich cobalt that glowed somewhat, and patterns of cyan, bright green, fleshy pinkish-brown, and even a flash of gold. His eyes were strange, however- in his right socket he bore the typical Felucian eye: somewhat beady, bright crimson, and with excellent sight that saw somewhat into the infrared. Then... in his left socket he bore a strange jade-colored eye with the shape of a feline's, and a pupil to match. His hands were suction-tipped and webbed, and his secondary arms that branched off of his elbows were small, and somewhat wood-like. The Jedi Master's face was covered in glowing escas, and no nose or ears were visible.

He was a Felucian... and this was his home. The hulking Jedi Master surveyed the area silently. Beautiful Felucia.... Fel'rol'oglor then turned, and walked off the path, and into the beautiful swamps.

------------------

After several minutes, Fel emerged in an open area. Purplish water glowed slightly, and the white sun was just peeking over the horizon. The Felucian Jedi waded through the mineral-rich water, and to a transluscent lily pad. Fel'rol'oglor sat down upon it in a meditative position. Glancing up, he saw a shape in the background...

Ah. Vek'san.

Fel smiled slightly. The rancor peeked into the swamp, but stayed among the giant, transluscent pitcher plants and mushrooms. The rancor himself had dark brown, leathery skin and beady black eyes. The battle rancor was covered in glowing cyan paint- war paint for the inevitable war to come soon. Fel'rol'oglor nodded to his pet. The beast snorted, and gave a semblance of a nod before loping a little farther away, into the next swampy pool.

Fel'rol'oglor then felt... A Jedi approaching. He looked up, his wide-spectrum vision, thanks to his two different types of eyes, watching the purplishly exotic sky. Fel felt in the force, and after several seconds, the Felucian Jedi Master sensed what he knew was... ah. Nineteen year-old Mar Meks. Fel had heard of the ambitious Gungan apprentice right before Order 66, when Fel had been a mere Knight. The Felucian sensed that Meks was looking for something.

Teaching.

Mar Meks wanted teaching? After Rohk Ky had trained him... granted, Fel had only understood that Master Ky had found Meks days before Order 66...

Fel'rol'oglor reached out with the Force, contacting Mar Meks- in a starfighter above Felucia- telepathically.

Welcome to Felucia, Mar Meks.

The Gungan smiled as he approached Felucia in a N-1 Starfighter. Once he landed, he would be able to find his path to completion of what he needed to be taught, and, not have any doubts about whether or not he was truely a jedi knight. Suddenly, a telepathic message came to him. Concentrating, he telepathically replied, "Are yousa Masta' Fel?"

Fel looked at the N-1 starfighter, barely visible over on a gargantuan purple mushroom in the distance. The mighty Felucian replied to the Gungan's telepathic response.

"Yes. I am Master Fel'rol'oglor. Please, join me."

The Jedi Master telepathically sent a set of instructions to the amphibious creature. The Felucian knew that this one wanted training. Thus, that is what he would recieve.

Fel'rol'oglor nodded to the Gungan who had recently arrived with a slight bow. The multicolored, glowing Felucian replied, "And it is a relief to see another Jedi Safe, Mar Meks. Now, I sense that you came to the Order again with a sense of purpose- is it training you seek? Instruction? Wisdom? Or do you want something else, as Kento Marek did?"

Fel'rol'oglor smiled, then spoke in his gargly, growling accent. "Good, good. You have good insticts, and a powerful connection to the Force- all of us who survived had to, after all."

The hulking Felucian Jedi Master stood up from the transluscent lily pad, and continued. "Now, there are many things one must know... For instance," he paused to reach into the water and pick up a floating, glowing blossom shed from a strange plant above. "Take this Yellormun flower. It is shed from a graceful, beautiful fungus. It falls to the gentle waters, upon which it spreads minerals in its nectar to the water, which enriches the swamp, and aids various creatures."

The Felucian looked up at the Gungan. "However, these things are really only half as good when told- to truly know the wonders of the galaxy, one must see them for oneself..."

Fel raised an eyebrow ridge at Mar Meks. "Do you fancy a swim? These things are always useful."

The gungan wondered if the felucian even had to ask. Nodding his head, he said, "[b]Mesa would liken a swimmen.[/n]"

Fel nodded to the young Gungan. "Good, good. Follow me then, Mar Meks."

With that, the hulking amphibian pulled offf most of his heavy armor, stripping down to his ornate loin cover. The kilt-like article of clothing was all he wore as he plunged into the murky, glowing water. The Felucian waited in the surprisingly deep, purplish swamp water for the Gungan.

The gungan, not really caring about whether his clothes got wet, jumped up high, did a few flips, and, landed in the water with a splash.

Fel waited under the purplish waters, in the hazy swamp. After a few seconds, the Gungan leaped into the water after Fel'rol'oglor. The Felucian Jedi Master motioned to the fellow amphibious Jedi, and began swimming downward.... The water looked shallow from above, but in reality, this huge lake went down precisely 47 feet. The Jedi Master kicked and paddled until an object came into sight...

At the very bottom of the swamp lay a deep blue orb. It appeared to be... a shield. A Force shield, to be precise. Fel swam next to it, and waited for the Gungan to approach. This would be a valuable lesson for Meks, indeed...

Once the gungan had reached the area of the orb, he looked at Fel, then, he looked at the orb. Using his senses, the Gungan felt that the object was very strongly related to the Force. Then, he telepathically asked, "What is Thissen?"

((OOC/ Again, SO, SO, SO, SO sorry... >_>))

Fel reached out with his mind to the Gungan. His telepathic reply was, "This is the thing that I salvaged from Korriban... We keep it in this shield because of its aura."

The amphibious alien paused, letting that sink in. Then he continued, "It is a Sith Holocron. You can still feel its horrible aura if you concentrate, but the Force Shield mutes the worst of it.."
