Saturnis sat in the speeder, and looked at Kin in disbelief at first, quickly followed by anger. Who was he to demand that he remove these stumps, and then just assume that he was so pathetic as to whine about it, and try to find the easy way out? Sat bit down on his smart remark, as Shia slapped him of the back of the head, and threw a shovel at him.
He caught it in midair, and looked at it in silence for a moment, before he dropped it, and went to pick up a sharply bladed mattock. He went to work on the roots with the full force of his anger. his plan was to cut the roots off as close to the trees stump as possible, so that it would come out easier, once it was dug out a bit. The roots that were left in the ground, would be take care of by the plow, come planting season.
They were there for several hours, and Saturnis was starting to hate Kin more and more with ever swing, when a speeder pulled up, and Var'tak hopped out, and handed Kin a crate full of cold water bottles.
Saturnis began to walk over to get one, when Kin motioned him off, and held up a finger telling him to wait. He and Var'tak talked a moment, before jumping into the speeder, and tearing off across the field, leaving the other speeder, and the case of water.
Sat sighed...Some training this was turning out to be...being beaten up before breakfast, and then having to work an entire day in the fields to help Kin plant food for people he was never going to meet. He grabbed a water, quickly drained it, and went back to work. If it wasn't so boring, this job would have made him very angry indeed. He got back into his rhythm, and took out his petty frustrations on the tree roots.
Later that night, as he lay on the floor of Kins house, trying to go to sleep next to the dining room table, he wondered what Kin had taken off to do, without so much as a nod in their direction. If he remembered, he would ask him in the morning. He closed his eyes, and tried to sleep.

Kin was amazed that they were both working, and Lerak had actually not voiced any complaints. He picked up a shovel of his own, and went to work on a stump that he had started digging out before the war had called him away from his farm. He had gotten it nearly done, but in the meantime, the hole had filled back in, so he basically had to redo the entire stump again.
He worked on it until he was pretty sure the speeder would pull it loose, and was about to chain it to the speeder, when Var'tak pulled up. Saturnis started to walk over, to get a water, when Var'tak told him the real reason that he had come out. Kin stopped Lerak, and after a quickly whispered conversation with Var'tak, he jumped into the speeder, and headed back to his house.
After a quick shower, he put on his least damaged looking armor, before heading back out to where Var'tak was waiting in the speeder, also wearing his best armor. They sped into the city, Kin reading intelligence reports for the whole trip. Grievous had renounced his Sith title, and disbanded his droid army. The last thing anyone had heard from him, he was going into the assassin game, as a freelancer. Kin had immediately seen the possible benefits that this could bring to him, and had to drop the field again to take advantage of this opportunity as soon as possible.
He entered the comm center, and put out a message to a couple of people that he knew, that he felt sure would be able to get word to Grievous, or Qymaen as he called himself now, and then made another call, to someone that Qymaen used to associate with. After a brief wait the Twi'lek appeared, and Kin smiled behind his helmet. They had to time this perfectly, and she had to think that Kin intended to remain on her side after it was over, but this plan was workable, even if Qymaen didn't agree to participate. Kin had no doubts on that count though.
The Next Morning
Kin walked into his house, and dropped into his bed, in full armor. He sighed, as his eyes drifted closed, only to be jarred into consciousness minutes later by his alarm. He groaned, and got back out of bed. He stripped out of his armor, as he walked to the bathroom for a shower. It had been a long night full of discussions and some slight disagreements, but overall he had gotten what he had wanted, and he felt that he had came out on top...if you didn't count the lack of sleep.
After a brief cold shower to wake himself, and a quick bite to eat, he walked into the common area of the house, and yelled for his Jedi trainees. He slumped onto the couch as he waited for them to get up, and present themselves.
His eyes burned from the effort of staying open, so he popped another stimpak, and shook his head rapidly back and forth. He drained the last of his cup of Caf, and tossed the ceramic mug back into the kitchen, hearing it break, as it hit the floor in front of the sink. He sighed. What was keeping them?

(It's short cause I'm at school and gotta run!)
Hollaring... that Mandalorian seems to be always griping about something. 'Ok... oww...' Shia thought, turning towards the door to the spare bedroom. She hadn't been this sore since... well, that's the recent past isn't it? 'Seems I've gained the habit of pushing myself too hard' She laughed, before hearing something break outside the door.
"Oh joy, what did Sat do now?" She asked aloud, before stepping out of the room. Mandalore honestly... looked like something a Rancor spat up. Whatever he was doing... probably was important. Cause that guy, out of anyone, looked like he needed to sleep for the next couple of cycles.

Saturnis was awake, as he had been for about an hour. Lately hes been having wierd dreams causing him to become deprived of rest. But no matter, he began to meditate, a skill of any force user, but since he cannot sleep at least it would allow him to clear his mind and replenish a little energy.
An hour later he heard the hollering of Kin Roth. Saturnis opened his eyes leaving his meditative state, he stood up when he then heard a shatter. He raised an eyebrow, tought about it quickly assesing the situation, then letting it go as Kin made the noise.
He quickly got his gear on and prepared to go see the ever so joyfull Mandalorian. He could hear Shias footsteps walking past his door. Best hurry before they gang up on me, again heheheh he thought to himself.
a few minutes later he walked out of his room and into the common area. He saw both Shia and Kin.
...Mornin...... I trust you all had a decent nite sleep? Mornin to you too Empress seems you got the best sleep out of everyone here.
So Kin, whats on the agenda today?

"The agenda is simple," Kin replied, as both Saturnis and Shia stood in front of him. "First, as you so observantly noticed, I have not been to sleep yet. I had a busy night trying to make sure that the thing I'm training you to be has a place in the galaxy in the coming years. Mandalorians have had a troubled past, and they are nomadic by nature, so they cant be wiped out in one fell swoop. As Mandalore I have to make sure that no matter how many people or factions come after them, the Mandalorians have the resources to kill them, and live their lives. Usually thats not a problem that the Mandalore has to worry about because of the inherent tenacity of the Mandos, but in the current political situation, the Mandalorians are not well regarded by any of the ruling factions, good or evil."
He stood up, and stretched, his mouth opening for a yawn. He covered his mouth, and grinned at the Jedi standing in his living room. He wasn't sure how this would go over, but they need to get it done, probably sooner rather than later. "What do you know about Metal working? Cause today we make some new armor. Yours to be exact, so you better hope you learn quick. It was one of the Six actions, and they had to have armor, even if they didn't intend to follow through with the training and live as Mandalorians. At the very least they would have a constant reminder that they had done something different, and that they had options aside from the obvious.
He himself was tired beyond belief, but he also had a new set or armor to make today. It was part of the reason that he had put it off until today. He had been waiting for the techs from the Verpine, the Bith and the Givin, who had all been tasked with coming up with a new suit of armor for the Mandalorian super commando unit that He was allowing Var'tak to organize, to get their plans together, and come up with a working prototype that would suit the Mandos needs.
The plans had arrived last night as he had been in his meeting. He had looked them over, and was surprised to see that they were beyond anything he had hoped, coming from a collaboration of three alien species, designing armor for a fourth race. He was eager to get a suit built for himself, but felt that if he didn't hand forge the plates himself, he would never be able to trust the armor. So he planned to build the plates himself, to fit the specs that had been sent to him, and then have the necessary systems added later by the appropriate technicians.
He waited to see if they had any questions, before motioning for them to get something to eat, before they headed across to the Armorers shop.

Armor ey? Hmmm Well Saturnis wasnt exactly an expert on armorcrafting but he did hae some knowledge of it. He used to Help his father repair his Imperial Knight Armor when it was torn or bent or just needed to be rebuilt all toghether. It had been a while though.
Especially since he was now used to Having Standard Issued Imperial Armor, of course he still remembered how to modify some parts of it.
Plus all the years working on Fighters and Speeders also helped.
Well as it turns out Kin, I do have some... prior knowledge to metalworks. Armor.... has been some time since I worked on Armor, but I must eat, may not be Human but I still need to eat, heheh. Sarcastically he said as he walked into the kitchen. He rabbed a plate of whatever was for breakfast, looked like an instant breakfast to him, but it would do. When hes hungry, hes hungry.
But this Armorcrafting Kin had planned for them....
Saturnis coud remember back to the days when His father was still Emperor, He once came back from a mission on some unknown planet. The glorious Crimson and Black Imperial Knight Armor that Saturnis always loved to see Rimaldo in was completely scratched and battle torn. It needed serious repair....
As Saturnis ate he remembered back to that day...
Saturnis, Saturnis come here. Yes? Come look what I have here. You know what this is right? Of course, its your Armor, the coolest armor in the entire galaxy. heheheh yes yes and one day im sure it will be yours Like this? But its all damaged and torn up. Well nobody asked you ye little smartass heheheh no but you get to help me fix it this time. Now here take this piece, scrape it till its relatively smooth and then you polish it with this............
He came back to his sences and out of the memory and continued to eat and try to finish up as fast as possible.

'Armor? Awww....' Shia thought suppressing a wince with a classic Jedi look of passiveness. She had never had to construct armor... not completely anyway. The Ex-Jedi knew how to repair it, but honestly it was generally a pointless venture. She tends to thrash it when she has it... and usually speed was the key in her past missions. Armor was just extra weight she could do without.
'Funny how things make a 180,' Cruze thought, reminding herself that that was the past. Things are different now, and are going to continue to be. That's just reality now. Her time is a jedi is over. As a sith (apparently... she's still not completely sold on that) is over. Time to let go and move on. Silently she followed Lerak into the kitchen and served up some breakfast. He seemed to be in one of his day dreams again... must be a genetic thing. Shia thought about knocking him out of it, but decided against it. Might as well let the brat have his dreams.
She'd get him later.

Kin dozed on the couch, as the Jedi ate, in spite of the recently taken stim-pack. He jerked awake, as they entered the room, and stood briskly. "Alright, lets go."
A short while later at the smithy, Kin looked at the two Jedi. "OK, lets get started. First thing you should know, is that a Mandalorains armor is a very personal thing, and should be made to reflect that. It doesn't have to look like any you have ever seen, it just has to work.
Normally a Mandalorian would get his armor, or pieces of it, from an older relative, and the rest would be bought or made by himself. We obviously don't have any relatives for you to fall back on in the armor department, except in Sats case, but Imperial armor is highly inferior to hand forged Mandalorian Beskar, so you should probably keep that set aside for ceremonial wear only. With all of that in mind, lets get started."
(OOC: lets skip the actual forging process, and get to the part where you guys have finished the armor, cause the quicker we get this thread done the quicker the next event can start, and I'm tired of people bitching about it...)

ooc: lol agreed
Saturnis was frustrated after many attmpts to make this armor perfect. But eventually it came out as he wanted.
He had designed it to look similar to the Crimson Imperial Knight armor but it was mandalorian design.
It was a darker red, but it came out perfect. He put on the armor which almost blended in with his skin and examined it and movedaround to get used to the feel of it. He liked it it was like nothing he had ever felt before.
Alright Kin here you are.
ooc; and obviously da finished design is da one in da avatar

(Sorry... slowly finding my muse again. Things seem to have died down here... so the only way to go now is up... right? lol)
Shia was actually surprised that her armor came out at all. This is almost the EXACT opposite to constructing a lightsaber. Then it's a lot of meditating and communing with the crystals that make up the weapon. The saber is a part of the Jedi (or, she assumed, the sith). One can recognise a saber's owner even if they've never been in contact with one another... just by the force signature. This was different. Sure, the armor still needed to function, and to an extent it was personizable... just not the same.
"You seem obsessed with that color, kid." Shia said, holding her helmet under one arm and glancing Lerak over. Though he didn't do a half-bad job. At least he contrasted it with the black, though honestly, she had to wonder how the enemy (if and when they were going to have to fight) would NOT spot him. Then again... they were mostly up against driods and clones... more clones, anymore. Stealth isn't really that difficult, at least, not against them.
They are barely worth the effort.

Kin examined his armor plates, and checked the fittings to make sure that it would connect to his standard under-sheath in the proper places. It looked like it would fit perfectly, even though now, it was missing many of the vital components that he had to have added by more experienced techs. The suit was a marvel of engineering. It had many advances over the standard Mandalorian armor rig, the first of which was the rocket packs built into and concealed in the boot assembly.
This was necessary, because the back plate was severely displaced in order to fit the new Ysalamiri nutrition rig into the armor, in a way that couldn't be separated from the armor, with out removing it completely. Sure it would be an extra twenty pounds, but the suits other systems would compensate for the load, with the new neural interface system that the Verpine of the Roche Asteroids had figured out how to implement. The suit would have a complete set of servomotors designed by Bith scientists, to amplify strength, and enhance speed, all at the speed of thought of the wearer.
It really was amazing what multiple species could come up with when motivated by money, and the promise of continued peaceful living conditions.
Kin packed his armor up, and looked over his "students" armor. it wasn't bad, for a first attempt. They would get better with time. If they had it. It looked more and more like they wouldn't have that luxury for long.
He congratulated them, and then moved on to the issue that needed addressing. "In a matter of weeks, maybe days, a new conflict will tear across this galaxy, possibly killing millions on thousands of worlds. I have been training you so that I will have as many able bodied combatants available to me as is possible. I understand that you may have other obligations that will call you away once the fighting begins, but remember that I have made a place for you among my people, and that I have not done so lightly. I am in the process of making multiple deals for things that will make this war short, and very productive for the Mandalorians. In particular ships and armaments.
The training that I have given you was short, and condensed, and is still incomplete, but I have every confidence that you will continue it when the time becomes available. You will be allowed to fight at my side in battle if you so choose, but I cannot demand it, because until you complete the training, and truly live the six actions, you cannot be called Mandalorians. Do you have any questions?"

ASide from the obvious question, Saturnis had none.
I have no questions Kin, But if what you say is true, then the Empire will need all its officers. We must prepare for this war.
Saturnis got his stuff toghether, and pressed a button on a transmitter on his belt.
As far as Im concerned the mandalorians under you are allies to the Empire, at least the ones I command.
He looked at a hologram that popped up from his arm, T-minus 46 mins till arival.

Cruze waited until Saturnis finished to speak. Though honestly, she wasn't entirely sure of what to say. Even with the training, and the briefings, and the datapads, she wasn't as up to speed on the situation as she would like. Damn amnesia. It's not that she particularly wanted to know who she was... what she had specifically done... It would just be nice to have a clue about what led up to these two wars. Plus, it seemed that he was addressing Saturnis more than he was her. After all, wasn't his offer 'join or die'?
"You know my situation. No contacts, no ties. Any obligations I had are either forgotten or taken." She said dryly while shrugging. "I'm not the type to sit on the sidelines while a war is being waged. It's just not in my nature."
"Look, I make a point of avoiding owing people, Mandalore. It usually ends badly," Shia said simply, glancing over at him. "But after everything, I owe you one. If you hadn't stepped in, I don't doubt I'd be dead right now. Whether by Vader or Bane or any of the other enemies I've made in the past. It would be an honor to fight by your side when this war comes.
You can count on it."

Kin suppressed a smile, as both of the Jedi claimed to be loyal friends to him, and the Mandalorians. This had worked out like he intended after all. Well, thank the gods for small favors. He turned to Shia as Saturnis prepared his gear for the incoming shuttle.
"I realize that you have no where to stay, so I took the liberty of having Var'tak set up a house for you a bit closer to the city. Its yours if you want it. We can continue your combat training for as long as you like until the war actually breaks out, if you do decide to actually stay on planet. There are probably also some questions that you want answered. Questions I know the answers to. I do have a quite expansive network of spies, and informants, and they have been doing some digging on some of the topics you were searching the holonet for, on the datapads you were given access to." Kin stopped for a second to see how she would react to that, before moving on.
"Do me a favor, and don't act like you're surprised that I would stoop to that level. If it can possibly damage my people, I watch it like the threat it is, until I'm sure its not one. Congratulations, you've earned my trust."
He nodded at Lerak, and then looked back at Shia, "He on the other hand, still has a way to go. How long do you think it will take him to figure out I have tracking devices on all of his equipment?
Speaking of equipment, I have a favor to ask. This armor I made, is the prototype for the new Super commando Unit that I have Var'tak training. It has a built in Ysalamiri containment unit, and while it is very effective against Jedi and Sith, and the Beskar is great against lightsabers, the men inside of it are still a little on the fuzzy side of how to deal with that. Could you train them in some lightsaber countering techniques? They're quick learners, or they wouldn't be in the unit. What do you think?"

Well isn't this fun. Sat's going off to play toy soldier for the empire, while a war sits on the horizon. Shia watched blankly as he prepared to board a shuttle. Isn't that a bit of a conflict of interests? After all, if the Empire and the Mandalorians fight, wouldn't his loyalties be split? 'Guess I'm kinda lucky in that... no previous obligations' Shia mused, before turning her attention back to the mandalore. Like she said before... she owed him. The Ex-everything didn't have to like it for it to be true.
"No offense meant to your informants Mandalore, but the answers I'm looking for... Well, it's probably best if I find them for myself." Shia replied, not at all surprised. After all, 'Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.' She would have done the same... or at least, she assumed so. The her missing a few years would have, anyway.
"I'll stick around for your unit's training. If they're as adept as you say it shouldn't take long for them to learn the basics." Shia said, before shaking her head. "But the techniques they'll need will completely depend on who they're facing. There's different styles, variations... hell, most throw the perverbial textbook out the window... They'll best learn through experience."
